Do I need my product on Uneed?

Yes. The widget displays the reviews from your Uneed product page, so your product needs to be listed first. Once it is live, you can start collecting reviews right away.

How do I collect more reviews?

Your review console gives you a review request link that opens the review form directly. Share it with your users by email, in your app, or on social media. Uneed members who upvote your product are also prompted to review it.

Yes. Each review has a widget visibility toggle in your review console, so you decide exactly which testimonials appear on your site.

Do new reviews appear on my site automatically?

No, and that is on purpose: your site is yours. A new review waits in your review console until you add it to the widget, so nothing you have not read can end up next to your pricing table. Once added, it updates on your site with no rebuild and no copy-pasting. You can also add every pending review in one click.

Should I use the iframe, the JavaScript embed or the server-side HTML?

The iframe is the simplest and works everywhere. The JavaScript embed renders the reviews directly in your page, which some sites prefer for styling reasons. If your site renders on a server, use the server-side HTML: you fetch a ready-made fragment from your backend and output it, so the quotes are real text in your page source.

Will Google see the reviews on my site?

With the server-side HTML, yes: the testimonials are in the HTML you send, exactly like your own copy. The iframe and the JavaScript embed both put the reviews outside your page source, one inside a frame Google credits to the frame, the other added in the browser after the page loads, so a crawler reading your source finds nothing. If SEO is why you are adding testimonials, use the server-side option.

Can I import testimonials I collected elsewhere?

Yes. Paste the link to a public tweet, LinkedIn post, Product Hunt comment or blog mention, check the quote and the author, and it becomes a card on your product page and in your widget. Every product owner gets three for free and Pro raises the limit to twenty. Some platforms block us from reading their pages, so on those you paste the text in yourself. Each card shows its source, and you can hide any of them from the widget.

Can I put stars on an imported testimonial?

Only when the source actually has a star rating and we can read it ourselves, which today means Product Hunt reviews: we take the number from Product Hunt, not from you. A tweet or a LinkedIn post has no rating, so an imported one carries none. Letting makers attach stars to anything would be inventing ratings, which is the opposite of what social proof is for.

Do imported testimonials change my Uneed rating?

No, never. Your star rating, the rating badge and the review count come only from reviews written by Uneed members. Imported testimonials are shown in their own section, labelled as collected outside Uneed. That is what keeps the rating worth trusting.
